The Toshiba SD-K770 multi region dvd player converts the PAL video format (the European standard) to NTSC allowing viewing it on standard NTSC televisions used in North America. This multi region DVD player converts the North American NTSC standard to PAL allowing viewing on Europaen/Asian PAL/SECAM TVs. It does the conversion using a 16mb built in video converter giving the player an excellent video quality.
